GTRSB Pledge For Schools

If you have Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen or Boaters in your school then we’d already like to think you understand the different cultures and heritages of your students. You might not know if you have anyone from these travelling backgrounds in school because they may not feel safe enough to identify as such. Showmen in particular Can Not identity on school enrolment forms. The GTRSB pledge is a way for headteachers to commit to doing more for these young people. Developed from the established GTRSB into HE pledge this was launched for other educational settings yesterday on a webinar event. We have helped develop the pledge to make sure Showmen are included with accuracy and authenticity. Please take a look here for more information
